Weekly wrap-up: EEOC, DHEA, and a shooting in a temple

Couple of new things:
1.) I filed my EEOC compliant last week against my last company. Time was running out and I was still feeling massive stress over the whole ordeal. Just going to the EEOC made me feel better. I think a light went off in my head with all the Chick-Fil-A stuff and other things I talk about elsewhere. One day it occurred to me: how can I stand up for others rights when I don't have the courage to stand up for my own. Will post more about all of this later.

2.) I'm still hormonal from the DHEA. Tend to feel very enraged at small things. I've asked my friend if I can use her as a bouncing board to see if my "reaction matches the situation". She said yes, so at least I have that as a fall back. Facebook seems to be a never-ending frustration of anger for me, so I think I will just try and cut back. Anyhow, the DHEA has a big effect on my emotions, but it's totally worth it.

3.) My deepest condolences go out to the Sikh community and all those affected by the terrible tragedy at the temple in Wisconsin. There is so much hate in this world. We must all do our part to change this for now and for future generations. At least this is encouraging: Hundreds attend suburban Sikh prayer vigils. Will try and write more on this later. I hope the world doesn't think we are all ignorant and full of hate.

  1. DHEA gave us improved embryo quality, I hope you can stick with is (it is not easy). When do you plan to cycle again?

    1. Will def stick with it! My husband, family, and closest friends have been warned. LOL. I can handle it and it actually has some beneficial side effects for me (better sleep and better ability to concentrate.)
I cycle in September. Had to build up to the 75mg, so I think my body is still adjusting. If I don't show an improvement in number of eggs (or success), then we are done for now.

  2. It's so horrible what happened at the Sikh temple. It's devastating. The sikh's are such anti violence people too, but of course, any kind of murder to any kind of people is just horrendous. It's very hard to witness.

Hang in there with the DHEA. I'm not taking it. I couldn't handle it on top of the BCP's. But I've only heard good things in terms of results, hang in there my friend!

    1. It is absolutely devastating what happened at the temple. I may go to our local temple Friday night and attend services to show my support. I've never been, but I think it will be appreciated - especially here in the south.
I couldn't handle the DHEA initially either. Had to start at 25mg and gradually go up. Think I'm finally starting to adjust now. Hubby already said if we don't have any improvement over last time than we have to stop and revisit later when donor eggs are an option. Knowing this, I'm just sucking it up and warning people. Think it affects everyone differently. There are some medications that I absolutely could not take that others would be fine on.
